With over 30 years experience in psychological assessment of children, adolescents and adults, the Peak Performance Institute continues to lead the field by providing customized, cutting- edge, comprehensive testing services of all kinds.
Our clients come to us with a broad spectrum of issues, questions and concerns ranging from the student with psycho-educational questions for school placement or special accommodations to the corporate executive seeking 360 reports for her Fortune 100 company. No evaluation is too small and narrow in scope or too complex and sophisticated. We always meet with our clients for an initial session to listen very carefully to their wishes and needs. Only then do we design for them a customized evaluation proposal suited to their own particular issues, needs as well as budget in order to help them achieve their goals.
Among the testing services we provide are the following:
We are very grateful for our strong relationships with the professional community and receive a large portion of our client referrals from physicians, tutors, teachers, and counselors. By far our strongest source of referral is word of mouth, as our clients refer their friends and neighbors for quality care. Currently, we are providing services for out-of-state and intenational clients, as our reputation has grown due largely to our depth in the field of assessment across disciplines.
Our Neuroscience Department allows us to provide precision diagnostic services related to Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, a condition which is sometimes over-diagnosed. The Neurophysiological Assessment including the Quantitative Electroencephalogram (QEEG or brain map) combined with traditional testing and computerized continuous performance tests provide quantitative data for the accurate measurement of attentional problems as well as other conditions.
The QEEG (brain map) provides the client, therapist and physician the precision inforamtion from which to ascertain the optimal method of treatment, the appropriateness of medication or non-medication intervention and the precision data from which to determine an accurate differential diagnosis. This is especially important in an era in which certain diagnostic categories are overdiagnosed and have been popularized through the media and pharmaceutical companies, rather than accurately diagnosed based on empirical data.
