What is ADHD?
ADHD (Attention‑Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition involving patterns of inattention, hyperactivity, and/or impulsivity. Symptoms vary by person and across settings. Some people struggle with focus and organization; others have more restlessness and impulsive behavior. Co‑occurring concerns (e.g., learning differences, anxiety, mood, sleep) are common and should be evaluated as part of a comprehensive assessment.
- Inattentive type: distractibility, disorganization, forgetfulness
- Hyperactive‑impulsive type: restlessness, fidgeting, impulsive choices
- Combined type: both inattentive and hyperactive‑impulsive features
Our evaluations consider developmental history and rule out look‑alikes such as sleep disorders, vision/hearing issues, anxiety, depression, and medical factors.
